Carson Hounshell

Carson began working for Delta in 2021 as an Administrative Assistant for Emerge New Mexico. Currently they provide administrative support to NMAHHC and NMCNE. They love being part of a program that attempts to address the systematic inequality that our political system has been built on by giving marginalized people the tools and knowledge to run for office. Carson feels proud to be a part of Delta, an organization that works tirelessly to support and uplift people.

Carson’s experience includes:

• Teaching the Emerge class of 2019

• Emerge program graduate, class of 2020

• Executive Liaison to the Office of Mayor, Tim Keller, Albuquerque, NM

• Field Director for 2018 NM House of Representatives Race

Carson’s superpower is embracing change to live their best life. Whether it’s hiking, camping, swimming in the Rio Grande, backpacking, rock climbing, playing frisbee, or picnicking, Carson likes to spend as much time as possible outdoors. Other favorite pastimes include starting crafts without the expectation of finishing them, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, playing board games, reading tarot, and dreaming of traveling.
